DAVAO CITY – The quarterly general meeting of WAMYPHIL Du’at was held here on April 6, 2010 at the Wisdom Compound owned by Dr. Omar Mababaya. The attendants came from General Santos City, Cotabato City, Davao City, Cagayan De Oro City, Iligan City, and Marawi City.
Venue of such meeting is usually held at a certain location where majority are able to attend. The primary objectives of the meeting includes but not limited to enlightening and reminding the Du’ats of their respective duties and responsibilities as members of WAMY Du’at.
Alim Rashid Said, Chairman of Orphanage, took control of the entire program, being the Toastmaster of the day. Prior to the formal opening of the program, Alim Norol’am Abdullah, a Du’at member from Cotabato City was called to read some verses from the Holy Qur’an. Abu Ahmad, a Du’at member from Davao city, was then called upon by the toastmaster to deliver his opening remarks and welcome address. The chairman gave the Du’at supervisor and the members the chance to deliver their respective reports pertaining to their cities of assignments.
In his speech, Alim Amenodden Abdullah Angnie, Da’wah chairman, emphasized the essence and importance of the occasion, while reminding the Du’at members of their respective tasks and enlightened them about the Da’wah now a days. After his speech, a discussion forum was conducted. In the afternoon session of the program, Dr. Omar Mababaya, founder of Wisdom International School for Higher Education Studies (WISHES), lectured on “Mind Mapping Principles and Technology Techniques”. His topic was of great relevance to the assignments of the Du’ats as they were able to learn on how to be an effective Du’at in every aspect utilizing the technology. One of his remarkable connotations was “If it can be imagined it can be done, Insha Allah”. Prior to the final conclusion of his interesting lecture, he took the opportunity to express his sincerest appreciation to Alim Monib M. Sarangani, WAMY-Phil Executive Director for his hard works and everlasting dream to help the young Muslim generation through scholarship grants, education and da’wah activities. The program was concluded with a closing remarks delivered by Alim Moctar D. Bato, WAMYPHIL chairman of education, with a heartfelt expression of thanks and gratitude to the participants (Du’at) and most especially Dr. Mababaya for his remarkable significant lecture.
